What Megan Amram imagines Game of Thrones might be like, having never seen a single episode and basing this completely off of her friends’ descriptions of the show…
The sun rises over a castle, a castle made of swords and pegasuses and gargoyles shaped like dongs. In the distance, 100 concubines have sex with their sisters and step-dads.
EDDARD STARK: I, Eddard Stark, am a warrior of the Dawn-Dune. I have bedded many lady-women in the dew of Beowulf’s…
It seems very pretty,” she said when she had finished it, “but it’s rather hard to understand!” (You see she didn’t like to confess even to herself, that she couldn’t make it out at all.) “Somehow it seems to fill my head with ideas—only I don’t exactly know what they are!

Music is forever. This easy-to-carry tote shows a sly play on two records on a turntable against a deep canary yellow. It is a resonant reminder of the enduring love that audiophiles have for their albums.
Actual narcissistic status update I saw on Facebook this morning:
“I always interrupt people. Due to my clever insight and wit, I am always aware of what someone is trying to tell me before they can get it out so I just finish their story for them. Is that a problem? I don’t see the problem. It saves time for everyone involved. I’m all about efficiency.”

- I need autonomy. Not someone to oversee my every move or try to control my friendships and free time. A healthy relationship is not controlling and allows for a certain amount of free time and individuality for BOTH partners.
- I’m ambitious and need someone who can keep up, someone working towards goals and someone who isn’t intimidated, threatened or challenged by my drive, motiviation or success.
- I need open communication (talking about problems, listening like adults and working together to resolve issues) - not passive aggression, lies or guilt trips - and certainly not running from problems. I don’t want to walk away from conversations confused or feeling like I need to call a friend for a second opinion. I want maturity and the ability to have an open, healthy, honest adult conversation with him.
- I need reciprocity. I’d like a relationship in which both of us are equally invested and I want someone who enjoys having a partnership where we mutually show affection, make each other feel special, and care for each other.
- I want consistency, sincerity and integrity. I need to know that his moods are stable, that his personality is honest and I can trust him to be the most sincere version of himself everytime I see him, no matter who he is with or what type of mood he’s in. This honesty lets me know that I can trust him while also keeping me intrigued and wanting to learn more about him.
- I want someone who doesn’t play games.
- I want generativity. We both should feel that we are gaining new experiences, wisdom, solutions, understandings (of ourselves, others, and situations), friendships, feelings and positive moments from the relationship. We both grow within the relationship and there is a level of excitement and anticipation that keeps things moving forward.
- I need ease & comfort. Something that comes natural, painless, and not forced.
- I need monogamy, fidelity, faithfulness. This includes no cheating, no threesomes, no “open relationships” and no flirting with other women or scoping out the next relationship before THIS relationship has even ended.
- I need someone who is open to long-term commitments and to the ideas of marriage and/or children, even though we may never choose to do any of these things.
